The Heritage, Legends and Calypso Community in Shadowridge – Vista, CA

The Heritage, Legends and Calypso Community is a gated community within Shadowridge. It can be a mouth-full to say, but this neighborhood is a great community, especially for individuals looking for a smaller, detached home or a townhome!

The community is close to Rancho Buena Vista High School, amenities of restaurants, groceries, coffee shops, golf course, veterinarians and pharmacies are a short-distance away. There is easy access into San Marcos and Carlsbad via Melrose to Palomar Airport Road; get to the 78-E or 78-W quickly via Melrose or Sycamore. You can take an Uber or Lyft for about $10.00 to get to Vista Village for some nightlife fun!

This community has over 200 homes that are built on smaller parcels. This means less yard work to worry about & a smaller house to maintain! There are several tot lots scattered throughout the community, a swimming pool & spa, and plenty of ‘street’ parking located within the community. Since it is a privatized gated community, the roads and sidewalks are always maintained. There is also security patrol during the morning and evening. When your guests come to visit you, there are parking spots available for overnight or long-term guests, but they must have your parking pass displayed on their dashboard.

There are homes and townhomes that are: 2 bedroom + 2.5 bathroom + 2 car garage, 3 bedroom + 2.5 bathroom + 2 car garage, and 3 bedroom + den + 2.5-3 bathroom + 2 car garage! Some of the homes do have driveways available that cars can remained parked on, freeing up the garage for hobbies or storage. The HOA fee is about $148.00/month for Heritage and Legends; Calypso HOA is a higher fee per month.

This community is located directly across from the dog-friendly Buena Vista Park and Trail (about a 2.5 mile loop). It is easy to have picnics or relax and feed the ducks (no bread, please!).
